Sometimes things get so complicated that we often forget the original problem or situation. Whenever this happens, it's best to go back to basic and start looking at the problem from ground up.

Here are a few basic questions that can help with this process

• What do you already know?
• How do you know that?
• What are you trying to prove, disprove, demonstrate, critique, etc.?
• What are you overlooking?
